From February, 1 to April 4, 2024, Örken East Kazakhstan Regional Scientific and Methodological Center for Informatization and Education Development of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region held the regional distance competition “Jasandy Intellekt-2024” among students of schools of the region.
Artificial intelligence is a set of technological solutions enabling to simulate human cognitive functions (including self–learning and problem-solving without a predetermined algorithm), achieving results comparable, at least, to the results of human intellectual activity when performing specific tasks. This technological solution set includes information and communication infrastructure, software (including those using machine learning methods), data processing and solution-finding processes and services. The kea goal of the competition was to promote among children and young people the artificial intelligence technologies, project activities and scientific-technical creativity. 8 applications were submitted for the competition.
According to the results of the evaluation of the works, the expert commission named the following winners:
I place - Arnuruly Estai, Ust-Kamenogorsk city, Regional Specialized Boarding School for Gifted Children, an 11th grader.
II place - Kumashova Ayaulym, Ust-Kamenogorsk city, Zhambyl Regional Specialized Boarding School for Gifted Children, a 10th grader.
III place - Kozhukhov Artur, Ulan district, R. Marsekov Secondary School, a 9th grader.
